Hi, I’m Rick, and I’m really glad you’re here.

The UCCA is a faith community for people who want to grow in compassion, clarity, and integrity without pressure, fear, or rigid doctrine. Many of us come from backgrounds where religion was used to control or divide, so we try to create a space where you can breathe, ask honest questions, and explore your spiritual life at your own pace.

We trust in one God—the Source and Ground of all existence—who speaks through conscience, reason, beauty, and the unfolding of life. We look to Jesus as a profoundly awakened human who showed us what love, courage, justice, mercy, and unity look like in practice. And we believe the holy spirit is the inner movement toward truth and goodness within each of us.

We invite you to participate in our Unitarian Christian Church of America Facebook group to respond to posts, generate comments, and post your own thoughts! You can also contact us through the website at any time and your message will be routed to the best person to respond to your comment, or you can specify that you would like to speak with a specific person our member of our clergy and we'll get them your message.

Here, you’re invited to bring your whole self—your doubts, your hopes, your story, your questions. We honor wisdom from many traditions, and we believe community grows best through kindness, curiosity, and shared humanity.

Whether you’re rebuilding your faith, beginning a new chapter, or simply looking for a place where you can belong without pretending, you’re welcome here. We’re grateful to walk this path with you.
